After completing the bathroom project, CEDA was ready to turn their attention back to the kitchen to finish some projects put on hold by the restroom renovation. This included replacing the cabinets and pass through countertop, and putting a ceiling in the room.

Working from plans originally drafted by Lon Simpson, Ron Keller, Bob Broadhurst, and Steve Shwartz prefabricated the cabinets and countertop. In August, the old countertop and shelves were removed, and the new pieces were installed. The new cabinets feature more storage space and roll-out shelves. Finishing touches will include some additional electrical work, adding cabinet doors on the kitchen side, and a finished wall on the main room side. Congratulations and thanks to Ron, Bob, Steve and their assistants from Troop 33 for this beautiful addition to Eastman Lodge.

Once the cabinets were installed, CEDA quickly worked to get the ceiling put up in the kitchen. The sheetrock ceiling has been installed, and a finishing job by Gale Lofgren was all that was needed to call the ceiling a completed project.
