Other Events
Summer Camp Flea Market
Since the summer of 2005, CEDA has been hosting a scouting "Flea Market" for those attending Camp Eastman. This program offers vintage scout uniforms, staff t-shirts, and other scouting memorabilia for sale on Tuesday afternoon during each week of summer camp. All money raised by the sale of flea market items goes directly back into other programs benefiting the Camp Eastman experience. If you have any old uniforms or other items that you would like to donate to help us improve Camp Eastman, please click here.
Junior WoodChucks Beginning in 1997, a group of scouters, including several members of CEDA's Board of Directors, have gathered at Camp Eastman prior to the start of summer camp. These enterprising individuals donate a week of their time to work on CEDA projects, as well as performing many of the routine maintenance tasks necessary to get the camp ready for the summer sessions. Recently, the "Chucks" have added a winter gathering, giving them an opportunity to tackle camp projects that are best accomplished during cooler weather, or were put off during the summer session. The Camp Eastman Development Association has continued to provide not only funding, but also the inspiration for many of the projects undertaken by this group. |
